How to Join Us
1. Ascribe to our "Statement of Faith"
on our Statement of Faith page.
2. Become a member of the Internet Chess Club. (ICC)

3. Play a minimum of 20 standard rated games.
(On ICC seek or accept a rated game with a time control of 15 0 or slower)
4. Become a member of ICC's "Team4545League".

(Click on QuickGuide for an overview of the League.)
T39 team entries closed on 14 October, 2008.
Expressions of interest to play on a Fishers of Men chess team are still welcome.
T40 team entries to commence early January 2009.
i.) How to Join
Group: Team4545League.
When logged into ICC,
Type: g-join Team4545League (enter)
After your request is processed, you should receive a welcome new member message:
"Welcome to Team4545League. You have been added to the T4545L group channel 345. (Usually within 24 hours)
Type: messages
You should also see:
"Groups: Team4545League" in the footer section of your ICC profile.
Type: finger
ii.) How to "Sign Up" to Play in T39.

a) First, you need to create your League personal profile. Go to or click on the following players/login URL link.

Always go to the above URL link, initially to create your profile, and then whenever you need to update your profile.
b) Now enter your handle name and Click on "Create" to receive a League password. (Usually within 24 hours)
When logged into ICC,
Type: messages to find your League password. Keep your password in a safe place.
It is now a good time to speed-read through the
Player Handbook and get familiar with the League's procedures.
A more thorough reading of the handbook will be required before you can commence playing in a tournament.
c) Now return to the players/login URL link as before and this time login with your handle and League password.
Click on "Update my Profile" and fill it in. You will need to tick items 7 & 8 but please DO NOT tick item 9. You can also disregard items 10-12. Click "Update" when finished.
5. Send us an email and:
i. Ascribe to our Statement of Faith.
ii. Request to join a Fishers of Men chess team.
Please fill in the form at the end of this page:
(Your "handle" name is sufficient.) Click "submit" when finished.
